Will Joe be the new Foreign Policy Advisor

Isn’t it wonderful that we have Joe The Plumber as a foreign-affairs consultant for John McCain. Now this “average Joe” thinks the Protestant Chicago college professor turned politician will mean the end of Israel. What! Did I miss a plan to drop some bombs in one of his speeches? I guess that ignorance and inexperience do not bother the old guy who graduated almost last at the United States Naval Academy. After all, he enlisted a beauty queen, college dropout with no international experience as his running mate.

I suppose that two years experience as a governor in a very low population state and few years as mayor of a town of less than 6000 makes one qualified to be the understudy of one of the world’s most powerful jobs. I am sure those two semesters in community college will come in handy should she become the third youngest president, in the event that the oldest man by 2.5 years should, oh, I don’t know, have a stroke, or maybe a heart attack. But make no mistake; she will be dressed for the part.

It is good for Joe, however, because his new job campaigning for the 72.5 year old probably pays better than his old job as an unlicensed plumber in Toledo, Ohio. Come November 4, he’ll be glad he voted for the man who wants keep George W. Bush’s high income tax cuts. It’s not like the government is trillions of dollars in debt.
